Bhutan has two airlines, Druk Air (national carrier) and Bhutan Airlines (also referred to as Tashi Air). The only international airport in Bhutan is located at Paro, about one and a half hours drive from the capital, Thimphu. One can fly in and out of Bhutan from the following locations:

Booking
Although flight bookings to Bhutan can be done directly through the website, we advise you to ask us to make the booking for you at no extra service charge. Travel agents are in the position to hold seats for its clients without commitment and often have access to discounts.
Prices
The price of flights is charged on top of the tour price. It is important to note that while the seats are priced in local currency, the amount must be paid for in US$; that is why the price fluctuates daily and the final amount can only be confirmed on issuing the ticket. Discounted fares are available at certain times of year and for children and students.
Delays and connections
You will need to arrange your own international flights to your chosen point of entry to Bhutan. Because Druk Air/Bhutan Airlines are prone to delays and last minute changes due to weather conditions, please make sure that you have arranged flexible connecting tickets and allowed for 5 to 6 hours transit time between flights.
Domestic flights
Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines have recently commenced domestic flights within Bhutan. The flights connect Paro in Western Bhutan to Bathpalathang (Bumthang) in Central Bhutan and Yonphula (Trashigang) in the east. This air link provides an excellent opportunity for those wanting to explore the central and eastern districts of Bhutan without the lengthy drive times.
